Swift is a new technology, developed in the UK, which has been licensed for the general treatment of skin lesions in Podiatry and Dermatology. Swift uses microwave energy which is delivered through a special probe applied to the skin to treat the affected tissue.

About Us

Southdowns Clinic was opened in January 2011.

We now have two clinic rooms, including one for MSK biomechanics assessments (lower limb) and gait analysis.

Southdowns clinic is proud of our excellence in the following areas of our working practice.

  • Health and safety including instrument sterilisation, hygiene and cleanliness
  • That we are up to date in continuing professional development and best practice procedures and give patient information where needed
  • We communicate with patients and patients family/carers when required regarding referrals, treatment options and cost so you can make an informed choice
  • Patient confidentiality is respected and proper care is taken with patient information and data protection
  • Practice working methods are constantly reviewed.

Meet the Team

All our podiatrists are HCPC registered, belong to the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists and all have public indemnity insurance.

Margaret Reeve

Margaret qualified in 2000. She is the founder of Southdowns Clinic Margaret has seven years NHS experience.

Glen Foley

Glen Foley qualified in 2003. He specialises in biomechanics and has NHS experience, and also aided military personnel who return injured. HCPC No CH1736

Fulya Manfredi

Fulya qualified as a podiatrist in 2014 and immediately after working for Brighton University as a clinical technician.

Simon Cahill

Simon qualified in 2003 from the University of Brighton and worked in the NHS for 10 years specialising in the areas of clinical nail surgery and podiatric musculoskeletal biomechanics.

Ruzh Hassan

Ruzh qualified as a podiatrist in 2021 from the university of Brighton with first class honours and later pursued a master's degree in theory of podiatric surgery at the university of Huddersfield, and graduated with a distinction in 2023.
